Hayden School District Narrows Down Search

The Hayden School District in Hayden, Colorado is pleased to announce the selection of two finalists to interview for the position of Superintendent. From a strong list of highly qualified candidates, the Board of Education has narrowed the applicants to Troy Damman and Eric Owen. They will visit Hayden this coming Thursday and Friday, April 20-21, 2023.

The information will be used to determine the desired characteristics of the next Superintendent. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. The survey is conducted by a search firm, which ensures that your individual responses are kept anonymous and confidential.
The survey deadline is March 24th.

Hayden School District RFP for Superintendent In Hayden, Colorado
February 6th, 2023
The Hayden School District RE-1 Board of Education is seeking a search firm to assist the Board in its search for a new superintendent. The Board desires to have a new superintendent selected in the April/May 2023 timeframe. Current superintendent Christy Sinner has announced her intentions to retire at the conclusion of the 2022-23 school year.
The Board of Education is committed to a superintendent search process that is transparent, inclusive, collaborative, thorough, strategic, organized, and professional.
Proposals will be accepted electronically until February 15, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. (MDT) to jparrott@haydenschools.org and csinner@haydenschools.org. Late submittals will not be accepted or considered. It is the responsibility of the firm to ensure that the proposal documents are submitted electronically on or before the specified time.
Tentative Search Timeline – All Application Materials Due By: April 9, 2023
April 11 – HYA to present slate of candidates to Board of Education
April 13 and 14 – First round of interviews with the Board of Education. All first round interviews will be conducted via Zoom.
April 20 – Finalists day in the district
April 21 – Final interviews with Board of Education
Early May – Board of Education approves contract and announces new Superintendent
July 1, 2023 – Superintendent officially begins with Hayden
